Dear Residents and Families,
We have some exciting news for you if you are subscribing to Spectrum’s Cable service. Over the past year we have been working with Spectrum to streamline services and payment. Maunalani’s new contract with Spectrum enables us to provide prompt and efficient installations and connections for our residents’ basic cable service needs directly, without you having to wait for a Spectrum technician. This also eliminates the need for you to set-up an account with Spectrum during your stay.
For those of you who were paying Spectrum’s monthly charge for your cable service at Maunalani, you may have noticed that Spectrum has not been billing you their standard $49.99 monthly rate since June 2020. This was because Maunalani requested that Spectrum suspend billing our residents while we were actively negotiating a less costly plan for you.
Effective, January 1, 2023, rather than you having to pay a separate monthly bill to Spectrum, Maunalani will bill you only $1.25 per day, saving you minimally $12/month.
Should you wish to opt out of cable services in your room, you can still enjoy watching cable TV and streaming services in our common dining and living rooms. Additionally, Maunalani’s wifi is available for residents and visitors, free of charge.
Please find enclosed, an Agreement for Cable Services form for you to complete and return to our Business Office no later than December 28, 2022, should you elect to continue with cable services. The basic cable channel line-up is included for your reference. Pay-per-view shows are an additional cost. If you elect to purchase premium events, please contact our Activity Staff at 808-695-2860.
