Maunalani Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has been serving Hawaii seniors and their families for nearly 75 years. January 2025 marks Maunalani‘s official 75th Diamond Jubilee Anniversary! This is an important milestone for Maunalani as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, looks toward the future and continuing its mission of providing quality care to Hawaii seniors in transformative ways.
The Reimagined Maunalani Campaign
Families choose Maunalani for the reputation it has engendered in the community over the years on the uncompromising quality of care. In the next chapter of its future, with new generations on elders in mind, Maunalani challenges itself to break barriers and transform the perception of long-term care.
The “Maunalani Reimagined” fundraising campaign will enhance its facilities and provide support to its Resident-Directed care concept. The physical upgrade of the building will begin with incorporating an additional outdoor elevator that will allow convenient access for residents and guests to a new ADA entrance on the First Floor. Modernizing the interior of the building will also take place to accommodate the level of services the community has come to expect of Maunalani.
The goal is to raise a sufficient amount of funds to upgrade the existing facility over a five-year period. The renovation will be conducted in phases so that the operations can continue without major disruptions.
Maunalani has been and continues to operate soundly in the last 75 years. This first fundraising campaign hopes to get the community to be part of the future of this private, non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Together with the center, the community can help create an even better and more comfortable Maunalani to better serve our elders and our community for years to come!
