On January 22, 2026, Maunalani Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (MNRC) hosted a group of 32 nursing students from South Korea through the Center for Asia-Pacific Exchange (CAPE). CAPE was founded in 1980 with the unique mission that citizens of the Asia-Pacific region would come together in support of the ideals of humanity and cooperation across barriers of language, nationality and history (source: www.cape.edu). For many years, MNRC has proudly served as a learning site for participants to observe and learn about current innovative approaches to nursing in a skilled nursing center/post-acute care setting.
Special thank you to the Akiko Kahue-Burrows of The Center for Asia-Pacific Exchange for coordinating this year’s visit from the international nursing students.
