To our Residents, Family Members and Business Associates,
We want to inform you that on 9/10/2020 we tested 174 residents and staff. All results were found to be negative. The staff members who have recently tested positive have all recovered. We continue to be vigilant in our infection control efforts and want to assure all of you that things are under control at Maunalani.
We continue to do weekly COVID-19 testing of staff as required by CMS.
We would like to point to an error made in yesterday’s September 13, 2020, Honolulu Star Advertiser article stating that Hale Nani Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is located in Wilhelmina Rise, this obviously is incorrect. We have contacted the news agency and have asked for a retraction to be made immediately.
Since the pandemic in early March 2020, we have been diligent in our communication with you about our efforts and situations at Maunalani. We will continue to inform you of any updates regarding the wellbeing of our staff and your loved ones.
Please maintain contact with our residents via Facetime, Skype or a phone call. We welcome families to pick up and drop off food and clothing for our residents. You may come to the Maunalani Circle, upper entrance between 10AM – 4PM.
Thank you for your support and giving us the opportunity to care for your loved ones.
Respectfully,
Sai Chantavy
Executive Director/CEO
