Aloha Family Members and Staff,
With the rise of confirmed cases happening in the city and county of Honolulu, we want to share with you that yesterday, one staff member on the 2nd floor tested positive. We identified the staff member’s positive case as a result of our infection control testing policies, including testing of staff who present the mildest of COVID symptoms, or when any possible exposure exists. The staff member is resting comfortably at home. We have completed our testing for residents and staff and have no additional positive results to report. We will test again this Friday.
Employees of Maunalani are mandated to be fully vaccinated, unless there is proof of a medical or religious exemption. For staff with religious or medical exemptions, staff are required to be tested twice a week and be cleared of COVID infections before reporting to work. For anyone interested in receiving vaccinations, please let us know and we will make arrangements on your behalf or you may visit https://www.vaccines.gov to make your own appointment to receive an initial vaccination or if you are eligible for booster(s).
